Author: , DR MANJEET KAUR, DR NEHA GADGIL
Abstract: Change in food habits as well as life style leads to life style disorders. This mainly affects menstrual cycle in females. Also, sedentary life style, lack of regular exercise lead to disproportionate body and abnormal body mass index. So, this study was conducted to find out relation between menstrual cycle and different body mass index. An observational cross- sectional interview-based pilot study conducted on apparently healthy females of age between 18-30 years to determine the profile, nature or regulation of menstrual cycle. Six apparently healthy female volunteers of body mass index in between 17- 29.99 were interviewed. It is not possible to come to any conclusion as this was pilot study. Further study should be conducted on large sample size.
