Benzimidazole it is an organic heterocyclic aromatic compound. The Pharmacophore of benzimidazole is essential in the medicinal chemistry. There derivatives are of broad interest in the presence of the many categories of medicinal drugs. The Benzimidazole is used as anticancer, anticoagulants, antihypertensive, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobials, antiparasites, antiviral, immunomodulators, antioxidants, proton pump inhibitors, hormone modulators, CNS stimulants as well as depressants, lipid level modulators, antidiabetic, etc. these moiety makes it great importance in synthesis of new drugs. Because of benzimidazole have great important and the researchers are attracted towards the synthesis of more effective benzimidazole derivatives which is show several biological activities. The many reviews on the benzimidazole and their biological activities are present. These present review are attempt the broadly discuss antifungal activity of benzimidazole. This review will be very useful in development of effective benzimidazole derivatives and also helpful for to showing antidiabetic activity.
