A Thorough Review Of Bioanalytical Method Developed For The Estimation Of Diclofenac In Biological Fluids

Author: , BALA SUNDARAM MURALITHARAN, NAGARAJAN JANAKI SANKARACHARI KRISHNAN, BHUVANESHWARAN ANANDAMOORTHY, ANBU KANNAN, APARNA SEBASTIAN
Abstract: Diclofenac is an anti-inflammatory non-steroidal drug used in the treatment of pain and inflammatory disorders like gout and rheumatoid arthritis. It functions by reducing prostaglandin and COX-I & II blocks. Several methods for estimating diclofenac sodium in biological samples have been developed and validated. Many papers have been published regarding the analysis of diclofenac in pharmaceutical formulations as well as in biological fluids. This article addresses different analytic approaches using a range of biological matrices, including liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, high-performance liquid chromatography, and gas chromatography. We have collected the article and reviewed the analysis of diclofenac in biological fluids.
Keyword: Bioanalytical, diclofenac, method development, plasma, HPLC, LC-MS.
