Use of Gamma Scintigraphy Technique in Pharma Sectors

Author: PRANESH B, NAGASAMY VENKATESH D, ABHIJITH K R, EZHILAN C
Abstract: Gamma scintigraphy technique had an important commitment to the better comprehension of the behaviour of definitions in the body and consider as a method of choice. It explains all the factors in arrangement between the arrival of medication from definition to the pharmacodynamic reaction. Development in new technologies for visualising the behaviour of the dosage form within in the GI tract. Radiolabelling is efficient and stable for the invitro study. Gamma scintigraphy principles applied to pharmaceutical Research & Development and has an extraordinary worth in assisting product development. Gamma scintigraphy technique gives a broad range of transit characteristic of oral pharmaceutical formulation in GI. Gamma scintigraphy as a part of documentary evidence in USFDA. Gamma scintigraphy shows the ‘Proof of concept’ for in-vivo study. The combination techniques of pharmacokinetics method and imaging method is known as pharmaco-scintigraphy, provide information about transit and release behaviour and subsequent drug absorption. Visualization by direct radiolabelling and labelling of radioactive isotopes by neuron activation. Gamma scintigraphy with information of physiology and dosage form dose structure plan assist with guaranteeing accomplishment in early clinical preliminaries.
Keyword: Gamma scintigraphy, imaging, in vitro and in vivo, radio labelling.
