A Comparative Study of Absorbance Value by Heating at Different Temperature During Preparation of Staphysagria Mother Tincture with Coconut Oil By UV-Visible Spectrophotometer

Author: DR. AARTI YASHWANT KHATAL, DR.MRS.GAJENDRAGADKAR MANISH.PRASHANT, DR.JADHAV ARUN BHARGAV
Abstract: Background: In this study we standardised the Prepared Homoeopathic hair oil by UV- Visible spectrophotometer in terms of absorbance capacity. UV- Visible spectrophotometer is one of the standard tools which is commonly used for the quality control and detection of various kind of Foreign bodies in the samples. The main working principle of this instrument is Based on Beer Lambert Law which states that absorbance is directly proportional to the concentration of liquid medium and path length. We used Staphysagria mother tincture as a medicinal part in the baseline sample of virgin coconut oil and standardised it in respect of absorbance capacity. Methodology: prepared Staphysagria hair oil as per guidelines given by HPI (1: 9) in which 1 part is taken as medicine and remaining 9 part is taken as vehicle and sample derived at certain temperatures 700 C, 800 C, 900 C, 1000 C, 1100 C and passing in UV- visible spectrophotometer for analysis. Statistical analysis: All the data obtained from parental sample graph and main sample graph were analysed by bar diagrams, graphs. Result: There is maximum absorbance value during preparation of Staphysagria homoeopathic hair oil at 1000 C. So, it can be stated that we can get best result at 1000 C for the maximum absorbance value. Conclusion: UV- visible spectrophotometer is one of the standard tools which is useful for the determining absorbance capacity of homoeopathic hair oil in purpose of qualitative as well as quantitative aspect.
