Spectroscopic, Particle Size, AFM and TEM Analysis of Gold Nano Particles

Abstract: A new physio-chemical method for synthesized gold nano particles via the reduction of gold by amoxicillin in high acidic media (pH=0.7). The method is based on the reaction of 100 ppm solution from each two reactant with optimal conditions heating time for 5 minutes at 50ºC. The new product was characterized using spectroscopic analysis involving ultraviolet-visible (UV-VIS), flame atomic absorption (FAAS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD), while particle size was determinate by low angle laser light scattering (LALLS), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and transmittance electron microscopy (TEM). The obtained results were below 100 nm by Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer (LDPSA), (1.47-0.758nm) by AFM and (64.65-2.29nm) by ETM microscopy, respectively.
