The Self-Management System of Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital in Poisonous and Hazardous Material (B3) Waste Processing Analyzed from the Occupational Safety and Health of Hospital Aspect

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to analyze the self-management system of B3 waste management from the K3 aspect at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. This research was an observational study with a qualitative descriptive approach. Sources of data were from primary data (interviews, observations, and documentation) and secondary data, (Poisonous and Hazardous Material (B3) waste environmental sanitation staff). The analysis process was conducted by some of the processes, such as reduction, presentation, and data verification. This research was expected to provide information, input, and evaluation materials related to the implementation of B3 waste management from the Occupational Health and Safety aspect at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital. Poisonous and Hazardous Material (B3) waste management in Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital with Occupational Safety and Health of hospital standard (SK3RS) management through the identification of B3 waste from the hospital in terms of quantity, type and volume, supervision of B3 waste management by sorting and reducing, storage, and transportation, preparation of B3 waste using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) with procedures for handling waste, preparation of Standard of Procedure (SOP) for management of B3 waste and emergency response to the danger of B3 waste with the preparation of the good quality of human resources personnel through education and training
