The effect of cadmium on some Amino acids of the Beta vulgaris var. cicle and the extent of protein changes

Author: BUTHAINAH JASIM YOUSIF, NAGLAA MUSTAFA AL-ABIDE MUQDAD ALTAE
Abstract: The current research aims to study the effect of cadmium on the cultured Beta vulgaris var. cicle plant and to find out the extent of its effect on amino acids and their reflection on the phenotype, physiological and genetic characteristics of the plant because it is a food crop. The proportion of germination and knowledge of relative water content, the degree of tissue damage, the weight of the root and dry total, the estimation of chlorophyll and carbohydrates were also estimated, and the concentration and quality of amino acids were revealed in three stages (vegetative, reproductive and seed growth). It was found that the cadmium component has an effect on plant growth, cellular amplitude, photosynthesis and breathing process, as it has a role to play in the process of building amino acids and enzymatic activity, as a significant decrease in plant length at the reproductive stage, leaf area, relative water content, the degree of stability of cytoplasmic membranes and the rate of damage (MSI) and a significant decrease in the number of fruit heads, seeds and branches were shown when the concentration of cadmium was increased, while the high concentration of cadmium on elements was negatively affected on nutrients such as potassium, sodium, chloride, magnesium and calcium compared to the control sample, a significant decrease of amino acids such as tryptophan, Alanine, Valine, glutamic, lysine, serene, Methionine , Tyrosine was also observed. There is no significant difference to increase the cadmium element on the Aspartic, Phenylalanine, while the increase in cadmium causes a significant increase of the Glutamine, for Arginine.
