Abstract:

Parabens belong to the family of preservative that used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and food industry. This review article discusses the physicochemical, structural properties of parabens, their anti-microbial effect, the role of these preservatives in pharmaceutical, cosmetics food, and beverages industries. This article also discusses the mechanism of preservative action related to different concentrations. Parabens are reported for certain environmental issues and health-related problems like endocrine disruptors and reproductive effects, allergy, breast cancer, the onset of puberty due to cosmetics, and also effect in pregnancy. The presence of Parabens in cosmetics reported in young girls on their both prenatal and peripubertal exposure to parabens causes many anatomy and physiological changes. In Concerns with this paraben, scientific studies suggested that minimum exposure of parabens helps to reduce risk of disrupts the hormones, risk of breast cancer, reproductive and fertility system management. similarly, this writes up highlights problem related to stability on parabens and stress the importance of conducting stability study for preservatives to assess the structurally related substance and its route formation in the intended product information.
