Abstract: Objective: This study aims to analyze the leadership function of midwives who collaborate with nurses in postpartum services on the coverage of postpartum services in community health centers. Methods: The study design used a descriptive-analytic, cross-sectional approach. The research subjects were 30 midwives who served in maternal health services. Collecting data using a questionnaire which includes 4 indicators of leadership functions, namely directive, consultative, participatory, and delegative functions. For the coverage of postpartum services, namely the frequency of visits by postpartum mothers 4 times, and the need for IEC and health promotion. Results: The significant relationship between leadership and coverage in postpartum services was directive function (p=0.002), consultative function (p=0.042), participatory function (p=0.000), and delegation function (p = 0.028). The most significant correlation was the participatory function with an OR value of 8,011 (95% CI = Lower 1.315 - Upper 21.052). Conclusion: It was found that the four leadership functions of midwives were significantly related to the coverage of postnatal care. Practical implications in the future require strengthening organizational culture factors and empowering community behavior in accessing services and making use of available health information..
