The article examines the gender characteristics of completed suicides in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan. The research years are conditionally divided into 4 periods: I - period: 1985-1986; II - period: 1995-1996; III - period: 2010-2011; IV - period: 2018-2019. A total of 1,449 completed suicide examinations of corpses were studied. At the same time, the death rate per 100,000 population was 6.4 %. Suicide mortality rates did not differ significantly over the years of the study. Of the suicides, 67.3% were male and 32.7% were female, and the sex ratio (male: female) was 2:1, respectively. This ratio was the same for the study years, ie male suicide was the majority in all years (P <0.001). The average age of suicides was 33.5, compared to 28 for women and 35.5 for men. 2/3 of the cases committed by women (60%) were recorded in the group under 30 years of age. In middle and old age, men made up the majority. In both sexes, autoaccidental behaviors occurred mainly through self-hanging. However, at the same time, cases of acute poisoning (10.6%) and self-immolation (3.7%) were also significant in women.
