Abstract:

This study aims to determine the motivation of teachers and the work discipline of the teacher towards the nomination of the Principal of Primary Schools in Karanganyar Regency. This research uses quantitative methods with a cross-sectional type of research. The study population was elementary school teachers in Karanganyar Regency. The sample of this study was 40 teachers. The sampling technique is random sampling. Data collection techniques are questionnaires. Data were analyzed using multiple logistic regression analysis techniques. The results showed that motivation significantly influenced (p = 0.027) with the nomination of the principal with an Odds Ratio of 14.19. (OR = 14.19; 95% CI = 1.36–148.27). While work discipline has a significant effect (p = 0.037) with the nomination of the principal with an Odds Ratio of 8.38 (OR = 8.38; 95% CI = 1.14- 61.91). The conclusions of this study are: (1) Teacher motivation has a positive and significant effect on the nomination of the Primary School Principal in Karanganyar Regency; (2) The work discipline of the teacher has a positive and significant effect on the nomination of the Principal of the Primary School in Karanganyar Regency.
