The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has become a global pandemic nowadays. Several restrictions and measures were implemented in different countries to slow and control the spread of the pandemic. However, these restrictions were relaxed in September with the opening of schools and Universities. The goal of this study is to compare the effect of releasing precautionary measures on the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey, and Belgium, as two case studies from three different continents. They study predicts the pandemic to stop in January 2021 in both countries, and relates the start of the second wave to the relaxation of applied restrictions in July and August.
