Aim: The study consists with the estimation of Total Phenolic Content, Total Flavonoid Content and Assessment of in vitro Antioxidant Activity of Extracts of plant Maytenus emarginata stembark by using various in-vitro models. Materials and Methods: In this study the Total phenolic content, Total flavonoid content, Antioxidant effect of methanolic, aqueous and hydroalcoholic extract of dried Stembark of Maytenus emarginata Wild was evaluated by Folin–Ciocalteau reagent, Aluminium chloride, 2,2-diphenyl-1,1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging, Nitric oxide radical scavenging assay, Hydrogen peroxide and reducing assay methods and compared. Result and Discussion: The result indicated that methanolic extract of the dried Stembark exhibited potent antioxidant activity as compared to hydroalcoholic and aqueous extract with reference to Ascorbic acid as standard. Conclusion: The present estimation and assessment shows that the plant Maytenus emarginata used as potential antioxidant activity with maximum concentration of total phenolic and total flavonoid content.
