Collaboration of several disciplines, such as pharmacy, chemistry, health environment, and social-humanities, including linguistics, should be well inter-twinned to do sustainable research in oil palm production and expansion. This article aims to create awareness of the potential of agro-linguistics to be a valuable contribution to pharmaceutical issues and language documentation, particularly, the oil palm plantation and industry. Some examples of oil palm discourses and issues in Sumatra, Indonesia, are analyzed to support the proposed frame. Two questions are answered. Firstly, how far did a linguist already analyze linguistic cases at both plantation and company, including on oil palm plantation and company? The WebCorp.org was used to check the linguistic corpus on 126 web pages and 1552 collections of texts to answer this question. In what aspects should agro-linguistics be developed to analyze agricultural, agro-industrial, and pharmaceutical issues and language documentation in the domain of both oil palm plantation and company? To answer the second question, 85 oil palm farmers in West Sumatra, Indonesia and 12 agricultural consultants in West Sumatra, North Sumatra, Bungo Jambi, Central Kalimantan, Riau, Jakarta, and Bali, Indonesia were interviewed in 2018 and 2019.
