The effect of giving wamerose juice for high blood pressure of patients hypertension in Palembang

Abstract: Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of wamerose juice on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients at Talang Ratu Public Health Center, Palembang City. Methods: This study is a quasi-experimental research design using pre and post-test with control group design. The number of samples was 60 people who were carried out by means of positive sampling. Results: most of the respondents were male (52%), aged > 55 years (62%) with normal nutritional status (53%), the average reduction in blood pressure was 18.27 mmHg systolic, and 8.90. diastolic mmhg. The results of statistical tests (t-dependent test) showed that there was an effect of wamerose juice on the blood pressure of hypertensive patients in the work area of Puskesmas Talang Ratu, Palembang City (p = 0.000). Conclusion: It is concluded that wamerose juice has an effect on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
