There are a wide range of techniques for labour. Parturition is one of the most well-known and most secure kinds of labour. At the point when essential in specific conditions, forceps and vacuum parturition might be utilized. Normal parturition is the most widely recognized, now and then caesarean is vital for the most secure of mother and infant. The research design for the study was Pre-experimental research design. Purposive sampling technique was used to select samples. Structured interview was used to collect background variable and Visual analogue scale. Data were collected by 60 primi mothers at Saveetha Medical College and Hospital. The pretest, 33(55%) had severe post caesarean pain and 27(45%) had moderate pain. Post test, 34(56.67%) had moderate post caesarean pain and 26(43.33%) had mild pain. The pretest mean score of post caesarean pain was 7.53 with standard deviation 1.11 and the posttest mean score of post caesarean pain was 4.05 with standard deviation 1.25. The calculated paired ‘t’ test value of t = 20.831 was found to be statistically highly significant at p<0.001 level. This clearly infers that olive oil massage administered to primi gravid mothers resulted in a significant reduction in the intensity of pain among primi gravid mothers in the post test.
