Therapeutic efficacy of protein compound extraction fromMetapenaeusaffinisagainst glucosamine sulphate-induced nephrotoxicity in male rats

Author: AMAL K.ABBAS
Abstract: Glucosamine sulfate has chondro-protective properties and decreases osteoporosis pain and rigidity effectively. This research was designed to investigate the effect of Metapenaeus affinis protein compound extraction against glucosamine sulfate-induced nephrotoxicity in male rats. The results of this study showed that glucosamine sulfate-induced nephrotoxicity for 12 weeks caused a significant increase in levels of kidney function parameters (uric acid creatinine, blood urea). The results showed that shrimp extract administration provided a substantial decrease in thelevels of nephrotoxicity induced by glucosamine sulfate in kidney function parameters in male rats. Also, thehistologicalexaminationofkidneytissuesintheGSgroup histological differences relative to control groups, while the majority of cells appear to be normal when treatedwith shrimp extract (1000mg\ml) overcome those changes. This cell enhancement can explain the activationof protein compound extraction from shrimp by antioxidants
