Due to the strict environmental laws, the packaging sector investigates commercially viable bio-degradable packaging products for use in food and pharmaceutical products with desired properties and less ecological effects. The Green synthesis is also provided a breakthrough approach by using phytochemical compound from plant extract for bio-composite films. Some of the tropical plants potentially to produce silver nanoparticles with enormous antimicrobial properties. Thus, silver nanoparticles are embedded in polymeric matrices that can improve biodegradable film's physical, chemical, and mechanical properties. This biocomposite film and coating will prolong its shelf life of food and pharmaceutical products by preserving the transfer of oxygen and carbon dioxide and contaminating it by microbes and free radical oxygen.
