Back ground: A new some chelate complexes of ions (Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II)) with new aryl azo 4,5-diphenyl imidazole (DPIB) as ligand and thiazolylazonaphthol (TAN)
Methods: The Ligandswere synthesized and characterized by several techniques such as elemental analysis (C.H.N) magnetic susceptibility, molar conductance, besides to other analysis such as FTIR, UV- Vis, HNMR and mass spectral. Based on analytical and spectral data we suggest octahedral geometry of all chelate complexes.
Results: As the result of the results obtained results that the ligand complexes and the prepared mixture of ligand have less activity towards negative bacteria than their activity towards positive bacteria and the reason behind the structure of the outer membrane of both types, the negative bacteria may have an outer membrane of two layers, one of the protein and the other of lipids.
Conclusions: Cram-positive polysaccharides, their cell wall of mucopeptides with mono saccharides are less resistant to antibiotics and drugs. The prepared ligand (DPIB) showed less inhibitory effect than towards the two types of bacteria, positive and negative, that appear in the picture, the bacteria appear against the metals under study., It also confirmed the total concentration of ligand and the percentage of ligand concentration, respectively, in increasing the concentration on the concentration of (1000) ppm (for cadmium, nickel, zinc) and the average diameter of the damping belt for them (16,13,13) respectively.
