Coronavirus was first recognised in Wuhan province in China at the onset of chinese New year. It was the most infectious disease which spreads fastest and the site of infection is the upper part of the respiratory tract. Novel coronavirus spreads through droplets like coughing, sneezing, handshaking, not maintaining the proper social distancing, fluid discharge from nose, etc. As there is no medication for covid disease, proper preventive measures have to be strictly followed to curb the spread of disease. This review throws insight on the proper preventive measures as recommended by the Centre of the Disease Control and World Health Organisation like frequent hand washing, wearing facemask, not to touch face, cover while sneezing, and proper social distance about 6 feet that would pave way to control the disease globally.
