Occlusal adjustment is known as a method to correct occlusal interferences that can either be accomplished either through selective tooth grinding or by using restorative materials. A survey was conducted amongst the undergraduate students in Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals. A total of 99 responses were obtained from the students. The questionnaire was prepared and circulated among undergraduate students. Results were analysed and compared using the SPSS Statistical Software by doing both the frequency tests and correlation tests. This study showed that 93 % of the participants found that occlusal interferences are very common throughout their RPD procedures. Based on their knowledge of the different types of occlusal interferences, 61 % of the students agreed that they are aware of some of the interferences. In regard to their clinical practice, 64 % of their method of occlusal adjustments are by selective tooth grinding. Overall, 93 % of the participants agreed that more knowledge about occlusal interferences are necessary in the future. Undergraduates of Saveetha Dental College showed an acceptable level of knowledge and awareness on the occurrence and methods of dealing with occlusal interferences.
