| Abstract:

The autism disorder is growing worldwide and the prevalence of the disorder is also growing. Childhood is a demanding and challenging period for all parents, when the problem is autism,the parents at least understand the mental disorder of the child. The main aim of this study is to assess awareness about the autism disorder among parents. A survey based questionnaire was done to provide knowledge about the autism spectrum disorder. A self designed 15 questions were collected through google form. The data collected and statistically analysed by SPSS software. Results are collected in the form of bar diagrams. 62% of the responders are aware of autism disorder and 70% of children are able to focus on given tasks. The present study concluded that the parents are moderately aware of the autism spectrum disorder and there need to create awareness about autism.
