Most obvious and observable asymmetry observed in people is handedness.Generally, about 90% of the population prefer to use right hand and the remaining 10% are preferable using left hand or either hand.Handedness is generally influenced by behavioural, cultural and genetic factors. The aim of this study was to assess the motor performance in the right handed and left handed persons using the standard questionnaire named Waterloo handedness questionnaire. This is an original research conducted among college students. The sample size is 80.Waterloo handedness questionnaire was distributed through an online survey link. The data were collected and statistically analyzed using SPSS software.Motor performance and handedness was assessed among college students. It was inferred from the results that majority of the population possess right hand preference. From the study, the motor performance of right handed persons and left handed persons was assessed using a standard tool-Waterloo Handedness questionnaire. It was observed that motor performance is better in right handed persons than left handed persons. The left hemisphere is dominant in right handed persons due to cross lateralized function of the brain
