Employee innovative behavior is an important factor in improving an institution. Employee innovative behavior can encourage performance and develop institutional competencies in order to achieve the stated goals. This research is a quantitative study with a data analysis model using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This research was conducted on lecturers who already have educator certificates at Private Universities in the Bogor region with Institution Accreditation B. The purpose of this study is to find ways in improving the innovative behavior of lecturers through in-depth analysis of the influence among variables. The evaluation results of the measurement model show that there are two indicators of personality variables and one indicator of innovative behavior variables that are found invalid. The results of the structural model evaluation can be concluded that; 1) the empowerment has a positive effect on innovative behavior of lecturers with a path coefficient 0.189; 2) the personality has a positive effect on innovative behavior of lecturers with a path coefficient 0.278; 3) self-efficacy has a positive effect on innovative behavior of lecturers with a path coefficient 0.201; 4) the empowerment has a positive effect on self-efficacy with a path coefficient 0.153; 5) personality has a positive effect on self-efficacy with a path coefficient 0.680; 6) personality has a positive effect on empowerment with a path coefficient 0.375.
