Prebiotics and probiotics provide immunity to anti-specific diseases and affect as supports to health. The techniques used within aquaculture cultivation have a great difference in productivity intensity since the antibiotic use is risky for “aquatic animals” because it removes all useful microbes in the animal gastrointestinal tract and collects harmful in commercial fishery products given these factors; advances of un-antibiotic facters are more appropriate for fisheries health management.Antibiotics have been used as a common method for disease treatment and prevention, and for growth as well as feed conversion efficacy. Nonetheless, the production of antimicrobial-resistant pathogens has also been recognized but there is a possibility that resistant bacteria may spread to humankind from the aquatic environment. One alternative to antibiotics could be custom of probiotics as biological control factors in disease prevention. This analysis outlines the state of the art in prebiotic and probiotic activity in aquaculture for both the prevention and control of pathogens, with such a definition of the mechanisms of action involved.
