Experimental Study of Water Sterilization in Flow by Acoustic Plasma Discharge

| Abstract:
|
In this work, effect of plasma on living microorganisms in water was exemplarily studied on Corynebacterium glutamicum culture. Experiments with plasma treatment were carried out using specially designed setup with hydrodynamically generated ultrasonic cavitation. Plasma discharge has been shown to have strong effect on microbiological objects in liquids. A technique for water sterilization in plasma discharge was tested on model water samples.
