In this paper, the process of surface modification in the aqueous dispersions of hydrophilic inorganic particles of titanium dioxide and iron oxide stabilized by ethylhydroxyethylcellulose polymer was studied. The particle surface modification by the above polymer was achieved by conventional adsorption and by ultrasonic action. The effect of mechanical treatment of the particle dispersion by ultrasonic power alone or in combination with surface-active polymer was also investigated. The efficiency of the particle surface coating by the polymer was followed by the ESA method. Data obtained enabled to make some conclusions about parameters of polymer adsorption layers.
