Oral health is a functional, structural, aesthetic, physiological state of well being and is essential to an individual’s general health and quality of life. Therefore oral health is very well connected to each and every disease that affects our well being. Maintaining our oral health is important because it can be the root cause for the other diseases and can cause major damage to the body. All these problems may be solved by basic oral hygiene like brushing twice a day, floss daily, eating a healthy diet, avoiding smoking habits, preventive care and by visiting a dentist on a proper routine. Dental caries are mostly present in 60-80% of the children, which is considered as the major health problem in India. The cause for the dental caries has always been poor oral hygiene. The aim of this study is to create awareness on the relationship between oral health and well being among the south Indian population. Questionnaire was prepared and administered to 100 participants through an online survey plane link. The study participants included people from south India. The participants were well aware about their oral health and oral hygiene. Oral health education camps, dental screening may be conducted to create awareness on good oral health which is essential for overall health.
