Mastoid triangle refers to the area between the three triangular points: asterion, upper margin of external acoustic meatus, tip of mastoid process. There are numerous anatomical landmarks present in the skull. In which mastoid region includes mastoid process, mastoid triangle, etc.The mastoidectomy is a procedure to clear or aspirate the infected air cells through surgical approach.Initially it was done by drilling through the mastoid process till it reaches the tympanum so that the infected parts can be examined and removed. The present study aimed to the mastoid triangle morphometrically on the right and left side and determine its clinical significance as an anatomical landmark. For this the study utilized 30 south Indian dry skulls for measuring the mastoid triangle. The results were represented as graphs and figures. The present study thus concluded that there is marked difference was observed in the morphometric measurements of the mastoid triangle on right and left side
