To determine morphometric analysis of mylohyoid groove in mandibles of South Indian dry skull. The digital vernier caliper is used for the measurement of mylohyoid groove in mandibles of South Indian dry skulls. For this study 30 South Indian dry skulls are utilized from the department of anatomy of saveetha dental college.Mean length of mylohyoid groove of left side of mandible was 15.554 and right side of mandible was 15.568, mean width of mylohyoid groove of left side of mandible was 1.819 and right side of mandible was 1.87, mean distance between angle of mandible and mylohyoid groove of left mandible was 15.409 and right side of mandible was 16.262 and mean distance from junction of posterior one third and anterior two third of posterior border of Ramus to mylohyoid groove of left side of mandible was 13.14and right side of mandible is 13.51. The present study thus concluded that prior knowledge of this morphometric data might be useful during performing surgical procedures, anthropometric studies etc.
