Pediatric Dentistry is an art and science. Imparting knowledge to students in this wonderful field requires an innovative scientific approach which will ignite the young minds. Multiple interactive learning algorithm (MILA) is an education system introduced in our university dental hospital in Chennai. This creative teaching approach focussed on activity based learning and replaced the conventional lectures. Audio Visual aids and activities used in this method made complex concepts more clear, evoked interest in the students and led to implication of the gained knowledge in clinical practice. In this article the explanation of various complex topics in pediatric dentistry using the MILA education system is outlined. The introduction of MILA as an education system in pediatric dentistry helped the students not only to understand the concepts but also to retain it and to apply it in their routine pediatric dental practice. MILA has proven to be an effective education system replacing conventional lectures.
