This work aimed to examine the activity of using the pomegranate peel (PoP) powder (Punica granatum) in the treatment of aspirin-induced gastric ulcer in local rabbits and compare this activity with the effect of Misoprostol the drug used to treat peptic ulcer. The results of the study showed a significant effect of the use of Aspirin in occur gastric ulcers The study found a significant difference between treatments T3 in which Misoprostol was used to treat peptic ulcer , and treatments T4 ,T5 which the animals with aspirin-induced gastric ulcers treated with a dose of (250 and 500 mg / kg of BW ) of pomegranate peel powder and between the positive control treatment T2 which animals were infected with aspirin-induced ulcers and left untreated. Where the ulcer index recorded the following values (12.15 ± 1.35 , 15. 08 ± 0.92 , 13.68 ± 0.61 and 45 ± 1.73 ) to the four groups respectively. There is no significant differences in the rate of ulcer evidence in treatments T4 and T5, in which pomegranate peel powder was used with dose 250 and 500 mg / kg body weight and between T3 treatment which the animals were treated with misoprostol therapy, where gave close ulcer evidence rates. The results appear that the protection ratios in the treatments T3,T4,T5 were good and close to the protection ratio in the negative control treatment T1, But were significantly different from the protection ratio in positive control treatment T2 in which the protection ratio in it zero
