Physiotherapist Perception and Attitude of Treating Transgender

Abstract: Background: Member of transgender people facing significant health inequity with in our society. This study is based on relation to the awareness, experiences and attitudes of physiotherapists of treating transgender patient/ client. The ethical difficulties that therapists have encountered in respect of confidentially in their clinical practice. Although there is a rich theoretical literature on confidentially and attitude of health professional among transgender. This study yet out to explore conceptions of confidentially attitude, among physiotherapists with transgender patient\client. Objective of this study is to find the attitude and perception of physiotherapy while treating transgender patient. Basically this was non experimental observational study with duration of two weeks in and around Chennai..study conducted through the questionnaire generated through google survey forms. This study concludes that poor perception and attitude towards the transgender.
