Fiber-reinforced composite resin (FRC) prostheses offer the advantages of good aesthetics, minimal invasive treatment, and an ability to bond to the abutment teeth, thereby compensating for less-than-optimal abutment tooth retention and resistance form. The aim of this study is to evaluate the usage of fiber reinforced composite in everyday practice. The present study was conducted among dental practitioners across the country using a questionnaire. The questions were related to the clinical usage of fiber reinforced composite. A total of 11 questions were included. The data obtained was tabulated in SPSS for windows, version 20. Descriptive statistics were analysed. Chi-square test was done to evaluate association between age of the participants and their responses. It was found that although most practitioners had knowledge about fiber reinforced composite, less than 50% used it in everyday practice. There were also statistically significant associations between age of the practitioners and their knowledge towards FRC.A lot of conflicting evidence is there regarding the lifespan of an FRC. It is also technique sensitive. More research needs to be done on how to improve the lifespan of an FRC.
