All students in the study voluntarily completed the questionnaire consisting of 10 close ended questions.A total of 100 responses were obtained, of which all responses were included. The subsequent data collected was analysed using SPSS Version 20.0. The results of the study revealed that there was a statistically significant increase in awareness of long acting bupivacaine, the importance of postoperative pain management and need for dentists to be updated about recent advances (p value-0.00) among interns than third and final years. However, still there is a great need for undergraduate students to update themselves regarding the recent advances in dentistry.
