Aesthetics was chosen as the most important reason for treating irregular teeth. Only 34.5 % of parents visit the dentist for regular annual dental check up of their children, although the majority of them considered dentist is the common source of dental information.Overall lack of awareness was observed among the parents about malocclusion. The level of parental awareness and knowledge needs to be improved further.
