Oral cancer is found to be the sixth most common cancer around the globe. The most common reasons for the occurrence of oral cancer was found to be tobacco smoking and alcohol consumption but there have been reports where a well established relationship was found with the dietary habits and oral cancer. The aim of the study was to understand and compare various factors other than the established etiological factors in the occurrence of oral cancer in the non habit population. A total of 43 cases were proposed to be recruited which was reported within a time period of 2018 to 2020. Questionnaires regarding the demographic details and food habits were formulated and a telephonic interview was held by trained experienced interviewers. During the course of the interview a total of 36 profiles of oral cancer patients and 36 controls were examined. Even though the parameters that we compared were found to be statistically not significant it has major variations between the cases and controls.
