Family support is needed to help the mother to give exclusive breastfeeding. Family support can be influenced by factors such as knowledge, attitude, culture, resources, and health workers’ role. This study was aimed at analyzing those factors related to family support. This research used a cross-sectional design. The population was 44 mothers of the breastfeeding mothers and breastfeeding mothers who had an infant with ages 0-6 months. A purposive sampling technique chose the 26 sample respondents. The independent variables in this study were knowledge, attitude, culture, resources, and health workers’ role. The dependent variable was family support. Data were collected through a questionnaire and then analyzed with Spearmen’s Rho Correlation test with a level of significance p <0.05. The results showed that the family’s knowledge (p = 0.889), attitude (p = 0.635), resources (p = 0.651) and the role of health workers (p = 0.169) are not significant, while culture (p = 0.001) is significance. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that there was no correlation between knowledge, attitude, resources, and the role of health workers with family support for exclusive breastfeeding. At the same time, culture is a correlation with family support for exclusive breastfeeding. Therefore, more research is needed to involve the family in improving successful breastfeeding exclusively.
