Craniofacial growth patterns influence the type of malocclusion in an individual. Aim of this study was to assess prevalence of different growth patterns in Class I patients and to establish a correlation between the two. The clinical data of 950 patients from year 2019 to 2020 was extracted from an extensive online database of the hospital. The data of class I patients was tabulated , and growth patterns were assessed for these cases. Chi-Square test was done to evaluate differences amongst different facial growth patterns in Class I malocclusion cases. 42.62% cases of class I malocclusion had a horizontal growth pattern. Males had an increased prevalence of horizontal growth pattern, whereas females had more prevalence of vertical growth pattern (p <0.05) .There is increased prevalence of Horizontal growers in patients with Class I malocclusion.
