The aim is stroboscopic evaluation of voice disorders in a prospective observational study. The study was carried out in 50 patients with complaints of hoarseness in E.N.T Department Dhiraj hospital, Vadodara, the stroboscopic examination was carried out after the history, routine ENT examination, and indirect laryngoscopic examination were conducted. In our study patient’s age ranged between 11 and 60 years, and the mean age was 31 years. 37 (74%) cases were males and 13(26%) were females. Vocal abuse was found be a major factor for nodule and vocal polyps. Smoking and GERD was found to be associated with most of the other other vocal cord lesions. On stroboscopic examination patients were analyzed on four parameters like, mucosal appearance symmetry, amplitude, periodicity and mucosal wave pattern. Vocal cord nodule, vocal cord polyp, had shown significant vocal fold abnormality, vocal cord palsy showed decreased mucosal wave pattern where as Reinkes oedema show increased amplitude and mucosal wave were absent in fixation of vocal cord. We can draw the conclusion that video stroboscope proved to be useful and reliable tool for evaluating different modalities of dysphonia
