With the advent of vertical and horizontal integration of subjects in MBBS, anatomy has suffered fewer teaching hours, scant resources and reduction in content. Nevertheless, with the help of technology and blended learning, the discipline has sustained itself in current practice. A preliminary investigation into such a multimodal gross anatomy practical session was conducted in a private medical university in Malaysia via a survey. The results show that the students (n=30) are very much satisfied with the approach. However, dissent was voiced regarding poor facilities for student learning. The results of the pilot survey has urged the investigators to look further into the students’ voices and the facilities for implementation of the multimodal approach on a whole.
