| Abstract:

Sparkling and hygienic surroundings are a key need to a healthy society. The recent years have witnessed tremendous increase in the amount of solid waste generation. In the present scenario, as the cities become smart, there is a demand for a smart and efficient solution to handle the problems of surplus Gathering and Intensive care. The proposed system consists of real time monitoring of the status of containers through sensors, Low power transmission of the sensed data over a long range using Low power Wide Area Network and an initial level of application is developed using PEGA for monitoring and tracking of bins that are to be emptied at appropriate recycling focusses for efficient waste disposal.
