The Effect of Blood Parasites on Biochemical Parameters in the Local Breed Sheep for Baghdad Governorate

Abstract: This study was designed to study the effect of blood parasites on Babesiosis disease in local sheep in central Iraq, Baghdad Governorate, between the ages of (1-5) years, the study was extended from 2015 to 2016, where the study recorded and confirmed Babesiosis infection depending on clinical signs and hematological survey That was recorded in 150 sheep across the province, then 50 animals were selected as a control group, which showed no satisfactory sign (temperature, pulse, and respiratory system) with healthy blood smears free from any bloody parasite. However, 100 of the infected sheep were reported to have experienced increased body temperature, pulse and respiratory rate, lymph node expansion, pale mucous membranes, and low blood. Biochemical tests: the amount of ALT showed 73.17 units / liter, AST 33.13 units / liter, and ALP 197.12 units / liter. As for the amount of bilirubin 0.38 mg / liter. In conclusion, there are no any significant differences for the chemical results between the sexes (female and female) and between the seasons of the year, but it showed a general higher rate of chemistry than normal.
