Surgical treatment tactics for patients with combined pelvic and femoral injuries

Author: HASAN TILYAKOV
Abstract: This article analyzed the result of the treatment of 47 patients with combined pelvic and hip injuries. The tactics of treatment of pelvic injuries with hip fractures are developed based on two indicators - severity of the condition and severity of trauma. The principle is that all hip fractures, in combination with pelvic injuries, should be stabilized at an early stage of traumatic illness using minimally invasive treatments. The combination of consolidation and rehabilitation periods has contributed to positive functional results, which has significantly reduced the number of patients with severe consequences of musculoskeletal injuries. Outcomes of treatment studied in terms of up to 3 years, taking into account anatomical-functional results are traditionally evaluated by three points system. Good results were obtained in 37 (73%) patients, satisfactory in 8 patients (22%), unsatisfactory in 2 patients (5%).
Keyword: pelvic fractures, femoral fractures, damage control.
