Abstract: Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death globally. Different diseases of heart and vessels leads to more than 17 million human deaths annually. Basic causes of cardiovascular diseases are ischemic heart diseases and myocardial infarction. Unhealthy diet, smoking, chronic stress, excessive alcohol use, physical inactivity are the main causes that leads to cardiovascular diseases development in people without congenital or genetic features of cardiovascular system. By leading a fast-paced urban lifestyle, people become sensitive to daily stress and the impact of bad habits on their life. Considering the fact that the population of the Earth is increasing every year, the territory and population of small and big cities around the world are increasing accordingly, so more and more people are getting involved in urban lifestyle every year. In the given article there are carefully reviewed all the reasons of the myocardial infarction appearing and the causing factors. The Ministries of Health of the different countries and the World Health Organization create different programs on the improving public health and the mortality reduction. The main accents directed on the prevention, medical examination and raising of self-consciousness and public awareness about the risk factors.
