Synthesis, polymerization and characterization of new poly (3,5- substituted-1,2,4-triazole from different nitriles and study their effect on anticancer and antioxidant.

Author: BAHAA HAMZAH
Abstract: New derivatives of 1,2,4-triazole were prepared from the synthesis of acid hydrazide compound (3) by nucleophilic addition of hydrazine hydrate to ester cyclic imide compound (2), which prepared from cyclic anhydride with primary aromatic amine. Then compound (3) was react with different nitrile compounds under microwave irradiation (150?, 2-3 hours) to form substituted 1,2,4- triazole compounds (4-10). Homo polymerization of compounds (4-10) and Co-polymerization of compounds (4-10) were achieved through using polymerization condition with homo monomers and Co-monomers (acrylonitrile (AN) and methyl acrylate (MA)) to obtain compounds (11-17), (18-24) and (25-31) respectively. All prepared compounds were identified by physical properties, FT-IR, 1H-NMR for some of them, anticancer and antioxidant applications were measured.
