Other parts of the body, such as the eyes or throat, may be influenced as well, also it is a no progressive disorder. According to importance of subject implant therapy in children with ectodermal dysplasia the aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was compared the survival rate of implant therapy in children with ectodermal dysplasia.
Method: MEDLINE, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, ISI, google scholar were used as electronic databases to perform a systematic literature between 2005 to April 2020. Endnote x8 software used for electronic title management. The present systematic review was performed based on the main consideration of PRISMA for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis.
Result: A total of 41 potentially relevant titles and abstracts were found during the electronic and manual search. Finally, a total of seven publications fulfilled the inclusion criteria required for this systematic review. The odds ratio of survival rate of dental implants placed between maxilla and mandible were 0.84 (95% CI: -1.19, 2.86 P=0.42) and Heterogeneity found (I2 0.00% P=0.92). There was no statistically significant between Lost Implant, all case studies reported 0% Lost Implant
Conclusion: The survival rate outcome of dental implant therapy in children with ectodermal dysplasia were close to 100% this number showed high survival rate
