Abstract:

Purpose: To study the patterns of pulmonary tuberculosis spread in Yogyakarta City.
Methodology: This research was cross-sectional. The study was conducted from May 2018 - June 2019, located in 14 districts in Yogyakarta City. The population study was all pulmonary tuberculosis patients who lived in Yogyakarta City in 2017-2018. The total samples were 471 pulmonary tuberculosis patients, obtained from the medical record of hospitals and health services in Yogyakarta City. The criteria of pulmonary tuberculosis patients based on bacterial examination by Ziehl Neelsen's staining of sputum specimens. Determination spread patterns of pulmonary tuberculosis used Moran index analysis.
Results: The study showed that 245 (52%) patients with pulmonary tuberculosis were male, and the average age was 41 years. The patterns of spread pulmonary tuberculosis incidence in Yogyakarta is random (Pvalue>0.05). There is no spatial autocorrelation in pulmonary tuberculosis spread.
Applications/Originality/Value: Determining the pattern of pulmonary tuberculosis spread is essential for the prevention of tuberculosis.
