The choice of the optimal method for the extraction of congenital cataract, combined with high myopia

Author: DINARA KARIMOVA, LOLA BABADJANOVA, SAIDBAKHROM BUZRUKOV
Abstract: Under our supervision, there were 25 (34 eyes) children with congenital cataract and concomitant myopia of medium and high degree. Aim: The aim of our research was to conduct a comparative analysis of the surgical method of treatment of congenital cataract with a cataract extraction method with simultaneous capsulectomy and vitrectomy with the traditional method of aspiration of cataract irrigation. Methodology: The method of cataract extraction for moderate and high myopia with simultaneous capsulectomy and vitrectomy reduces the risk of intra - and postoperative complications (risk of prolapse of the vitreous body, rupture of the posterior lens capsule, FPC), compared with the traditional method of cataract extraction.
Keyword: congenital cataract, capsulectomy, high myopia, treatment.
